Main Investment Amount:
The primary investment amount for the EB-5 program varies depending on the project location. For projects in Targeted Employment Areas (TEA), the investment is $800,000, while for other areas, it’s $1,050,000. Most projects in the market are at the $800,000 level. This investment is made upfront before the Green Card application, with potential refunds based on project performance in 3-7 years.
Regional Center Administrative Fee:
The Regional Center Administrative Fee, also known as the syndicate fee, ranges from $50,000 to $90,000. This fee covers administrative and promotional expenses of the Regional Center and is paid at the beginning of the process along with the main investment amount.
Immigration Lawyer Services:
Immigration Lawyer Services come with a price tag ranging from $15,000 to $70,000. The fee depends on the attorney’s qualifications and the size of the company. Negotiating payment in tranches directly with the attorney is common. Finding an experienced EB-5 immigration lawyer who speaks your language can simplify communication and potentially save on translation costs for document review.
Document Translation Fees:
For documents not in English, translation fees range from $1,000 to $3,000. It is advisable to discuss with your immigration attorney whether they recommend translators or if you should find your own. Testing the translation with a small portion of the documentation can ensure smooth communication and quality translations.
Government Fees:
Government fees are paid in stages and vary based on the number of family members and the chosen process route. The fees include I-526, integrity fee, visa fee, I-485, and I-829 fees, amounting to $22,000 to $27,000.
- I-526E – $11,160 – for main applicant;
- I-526E – $1,000 – integrity fee payment;
- DS-260 – visa fee – $345 for each family member;
- I-485 – $1,440 for each family member (Children up to 14 years old who are applying with one of their parents – $950 Children up to 14 years old who are applying separately – $1,440);
- I-829 – $9,525 – for main applicant.
*Starting April 1, 2024
Other Fees:
- Beyond the main investment and the aforementioned expenses, additional fees may arise from a Migration agent or Third-party promoter.
- For example, our company offers two options: Option 1 is the agent agreement, where the client chooses a project on our website and establishes contact with a specific Regional Center (RC). Alternatively, there is the full consultation service, “The EB-5 Concierge Service,” with an agreement for $10,000 paid in stages, starting with the first payment of $1,000.
To sum up, the investment amount depends on the location of the project and can be $800,000 or $1,050,000, and additional non-refundable costs vary between $80,000 and $150,000 USD.
