If you’re considering the EB-5 program to make a move to the United States, understanding the associated costs is crucial. In this article, we’ll break down the expenses involved in the EB-5 investment visa process, providing you with valuable insights to help you plan your immigration journey effectively.

Main Investment Amount:

The primary investment amount for the EB-5 program varies depending on the project location. For projects in Targeted Employment Areas (TEA), the investment is $800,000, while for other areas, it’s $1,050,000. Most projects in the market are at the $800,000 level. This investment is made upfront before the Green Card application, with potential refunds based on project performance in 3-7 years.

Regional Center Administrative Fee:

The Regional Center Administrative Fee, also known as the syndicate fee, ranges from $50,000 to $90,000. This fee covers administrative and promotional expenses of the Regional Center and is paid at the beginning of the process along with the main investment amount.

Immigration Lawyer Services:

Immigration Lawyer Services come with a price tag ranging from $15,000 to $70,000. The fee depends on the attorney’s qualifications and the size of the company. Negotiating payment in tranches directly with the attorney is common. Finding an experienced EB-5 immigration lawyer who speaks your language can simplify communication and potentially save on translation costs for document review.

Document Translation Fees:

For documents not in English, translation fees range from $1,000 to $3,000. It is advisable to discuss with your immigration attorney whether they recommend translators or if you should find your own. Testing the translation with a small portion of the documentation can ensure smooth communication and quality translations.
